Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) 기술분야에서 십여년 전부터 필수참고서로 알려진 책의 세 번째 개정판이 올해 나왔다. 2004년경에 대학원 선배가 좋은 책이니 읽어보라고 권유했었는데, 잊고 지내다가 올해 개정판이 나온다는 소식을 접하고 구입했다.

OOAD의 개념과 실천방법, 응용사례들의 세 부분으로 구성되어 있다. Object-Oriented 기술과 함께 UML2.0 표기법(notation)들에 대해서도 설명하고 있다. OO와 OOAD 기술에 대한 기본개념을 이해하는 데에 좋은 책이지만, 4cm 가량 되는 책 두께가 부담되기도.

Grady Booch is an IBM fellow and author of six best-selling books on object-oriented programming. He is world-renowned as an originator of OO and founder of UML.
